Fees will be discussed, disclosed and itemized prior to any service being rendered. Please contact JHE Polygraph to discuss fees, scheduling and questions regarding your specific examination. All payments are expected prior to or the day of the examination. A retainer fee may be requested and is determined on a case by case basis. The retainer is applied to the cost of the examination. Fees are based on the complexity of the case. Cancellations may be made up to 72 hours prior to the scheduled examination with no financial penalty. All examinations cancelled or postponed within 24 hours of the examination will be billed at a discounted rate. No show will be charged the full price. The actual polygraph examination will take approximately two hours and includes a pre-test interview, physiological data collection and a post-test analysis phase. A written report if desired is included in the fee. Contact JHE Polygraph for a free initial consultation to evaluate your polygraph needs.

Contrary to popular belief, the polygraph is not inadmissible in court proceedings. Admissibility standards are different in each jurisdiction. Some jurisdictions allow polygraph evidence, either stipulated or un-stipulated, some prohibit polygraph evidence altogether, and many others allow the judge to decide admissibility on a case-by-case basis. Polygraph tests have been used outside the courtroom in pre-trial negotiations, plea bargaining, sentence recommendations, and witness verification or impeachment.

The current polygraph research indicates that when a specific single issue polygraph exam, conducted by a qualified, trained, and experienced polygraph examiner, is properly administered the accuracy rate is between 95% and 98%. This percentage is still higher than other forms of evidence, including psychiatric opinions, suspect identification as provided by victims and witnesses, and fingerprint identification. The polygraph is the most accurate tool available today for determining truth or deception.
